Applications are invited from Married/Unmarried male and unmarried female, issueless widow, issueless divorcee and widows of Defence Personnel’s (with/without children) for grant of short service commission to the Indian Army, Minimum educational qualifications, vacancies, age, and subject code are as given below:-

Note : Final distribution of vacancies for different category of qualifications will be decided by HQrs based on requirement.
(c) Educational Qualification: Final Year appearing/appeared candidates and qualified graduates of the degree course in engineering from a recognized university will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of Tech Degree Course must possess year of degree course, if not already in possession of the degree certificate should be able to produce the engineering degree within 12 weeks from the date of OTA on additional bond basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay and allowance paid. In case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.
(d) Age Limit: 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 apr 84 and not later than 01 apr 91.
METHOD OF SELECTION:
(a) Shortlisting of Applications and SSB Interviews: Initial checking of applications will be done at Additional Directorate General Recruiting, Army HQs. Only eligible candidates will be called for and assessed under aegis of selection centres, namely Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP) and Bangalore (Karnataka) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interview officer. Candidates will not be Interviewed locally. Allotment of selection centre is at the discretion of army headquarters and no requests of changes are entertained in this regard.
(b) Two Stage Selection Procedure: Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological aptitude test is held at selection centres. All the candidates will face stage one test on first day of reporting at selection centres. The candidates who qualify in stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests. Those who fail to pass stage one will be returned on the sane date.
PAY ALLOWANCES AND OTHER BENEFITS:
During the period of training the candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- p.m. (Rs. 15,600/- as pay in pay band plus grade pay Rs. 5,400/-) on completion of training officers are commissioned as it and entitled to the pay band of Rs.15,600-39,000 with DA at present with other benefits like military service pay transport allowance, free medical facilities, LTC, 60 days annual leave, 20 days casual leave, canteen facilities, ration as per scale and certain other allowance based on posting etc. Army group insurance provides insurance cover of Rs.30 lakhs to the gentlemen cadets of OTA from the date of joining the institute for pre-commission training.

Failure to mention any of the above entails outright rejection of application (d) Applications for 36th SSC (T) Men should be posted by registered post to reach Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (army), Adjutant General’s Branch, Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting, TGC Entry, West Block-III, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-110066. and Application for 7th SSC (T) Women should be post to reach Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (army), Adjutant General’s Branch, Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting, Women Entry, West Block-III, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-110066 latest by 09 Aug. 2010.
