Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for grant of Permanent Commission in Naval Armament Inspection Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for course commencing Jan 2011 at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfil condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
2. Age. 19 ½ to 25 years i.e. born between 02 Jan 1986 and 01 Jul 1991; both dates inclusive.
3. Educational Qualifications. Any of the following:-
(a) BE/B Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical from an institution recognized by AICTE.
(b) Post-graduate Degree in Electronics/Physics from a recognized University.
4. Physical Standards
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
6. (a) Short listed candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) (IHQ-MoD (Navy)) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account.
(b) SSB interviews for Short-listed candidates will be scheduled during Sep - Nov 2010 at Bangalore, Bhopal or Coimbatore.
(c) The SSB interview is conducted for a period of five days in two stages. Stage-1 includes Intelligence test, Picture perception test & Group discussion and is conducted on the first day. The candidates who qualify Stage-1 are made to appear for Stage-2 and the rest are sent back on the same day. The Stage-2 includes Psychological tests, Group Tasks and personal interview conducted over the balance four days. The successful candidates would then have to clear a special medical examination at the same venue (approximate duration 3-5 days).
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit will be appointed for training in order of all India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
(e) Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible.
(f) Candidates who wish to change their SSB dates must apply to the President of the SSB. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be subject to availability at respective SSB.
(g) Any injury sustained during the SSB interview will not be compensated.
(h) Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for this entry would be entitled for free rail sleeper class return fare.

JAG ENTRY SCHEME 6TH COURSE- APRIL 2011(SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (NT) COURSE FOR LAW GRADUATES WMEN)

The Indian Army is looking for the best and the brightest LAW GRADUATES unmarried women for grant of short service commission in the Indian Army for judge Advocate General dept.
1. Vacancies : Female 10
2. Conditions of eligibility:-
(a) Nationality: Must be an Indian.
(B) Age limit: 21 to 27 years (born not earlier on 02 Jan 1984 and not later than 01 Jan 1990).
(C) Educational qualification: Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three year professional after graduations or five years after 10+2 examination) from a university/ institution recognized by bar council of India and candidates should be eligible to be enrolled as an advocate.
3. Physical standard: the minimum acceptable height is 157.5cms for men and 152 cms for women. For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and kumano, the minimum acceptable height will be 5cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.
4. PAY AND ALOWANCES AND OTHER BENEFITS: Officers are initially commissioned as lieutenant in the pay scale of Rs. 26,000 (Basic pay-15,600, Grade pay 5,400 and military service pay-6000) per month with DA at present and other benefits like concessional accommodation, fee medical facilities, LTC, 60 days annual leave 20 days casual leave, canteen facilities, entitled ration as per scale etcd. Army Group Insurance provides Insurance cover of Rs.30 lac to the cadets of OTA from the date of joining Institute for pre-commission training. Candidates who are medically boarded out during training at OTA on account of disability the cover provided is 50% of the insured amount for 10%disability i.e. Rs .15 lac for 100% disability proportionately reduced to Rs.3 lac for 20% disability. However for disability less than 20% an ex-gratia grant of Rs. 20,000/- will be paid. Disability due to alcoholism and drug addiction will not qualify for disability benefits and exgratia.

KISHORE VAIGYANIK PROSTAHAN YOJANA (KVPY), 2010
Applications are invited for KVPY FELLOWSHIPS for school and college students interested in research careers. The department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships (Rs.4000 to Rs 7000 P.M.) contingency grants (equivalent of four months fellowships per annum) to students studying XI standard to B.S.C / B.S / Integrated M.S.c.. and I / II year of B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch /MBBS .Selection to the program takes in to account academic excellence and demonstrated interest in research. ELIGIBILITY
BASIC SCIENCES

- GENERAL
a. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
b. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned in the Advertisement. He/She may cross-check the information furnished in the application form before finally submitting the same as no correction would be possible later.
c. The selected candidates for the posts of Manager (ATC) / Manager (Electronics) will have to undergo training upto one year and for Jr.Exeuctive (ATC) for 6 months during which they will be paid Basic Pay alongwith other admissible allowances attached to the scale of Manager and Jr.Executives. Candidates selected for the post of Sr. Asstt.(Electronics) shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.9000/- p.m. during the training period (upto 6 months).
d. The candidates selected for the post of Manager (ATC)/ Manager (Elex) shall have to execute a Security Bond for an amount of Rs.6.00 Lacs to serve the Authority for a period of 3 years after completion of training.
e. The candidates selected for the post of Jr. Executive (ATC) shall have to execute a security bond for an amount of Rs. 3.00 Lacs to serve the Authority for a period of 3 years after completion of training.
f. The candidates selected for the post of Sr. Asstt. (Elex) shall have to execute a security bond for an amount of Rs.1.00 Lac to serve the Authority for a period of 2 years after completion of training.
g. Besides basic pay DA, CCA, HRA other benefits such as Medical, LTC, Leave Encashment, Gratuity, PF, etc. admissible as per AAI rules also will be paid.
h. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
i. Employees of Govt. /Public Sector Undertaking should produce NOC at the time of interview.
j. The written test will be held at Delhi /Mumbai /Kolkata/Chennai / Guwahati /Allahabad /Ahmedabad/ Hyderabad/ Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram. The number of centres can be reduced or increased depending upon number of candidates and in that case the candidates will be asked to appear other than centre specified by him/her.
k. Decision of AAI in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents is to be produced for the purpose of the conduct of the examination, interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and finding on the candidate. Management reserves the right to fix the standard specifications for screening the applications so as to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test and / or interview.
l. AAI reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/enlarge/cancel the recruitment process to increase or decrease the number of posts to be filled, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any further notice/any reasons thereafter. The decision of the Management will be final and no appeal will be entertained against this.
m. The eligibility with respect to age, Education qualification, experience etc. will be determined as on 01.08.2010. Candidates who are awaiting their result of the qualifying examination or who have not passed the qualifying examination on or before 01.08.2010 are not eligible to apply.

(c) Educational Qualification: Final Year appearing/appeared candidates and qualified graduates of the degree course in engineering from a recognized university will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of Tech Degree Course must possess year of degree course, if not already in possession of the degree certificate should be able to produce the engineering degree within 12 weeks from the date of OTA on additional bond basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay and allowance paid. In case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.
(d) Age Limit: 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 apr 84 and not later than 01 apr 91.
METHOD OF SELECTION:
(a) Shortlisting of Applications and SSB Interviews: Initial checking of applications will be done at Additional Directorate General Recruiting, Army HQs. Only eligible candidates will be called for and assessed under aegis of selection centres, namely Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP) and Bangalore (Karnataka) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interview officer. Candidates will not be Interviewed locally. Allotment of selection centre is at the discretion of army headquarters and no requests of changes are entertained in this regard.
(b) Two Stage Selection Procedure: Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological aptitude test is held at selection centres. All the candidates will face stage one test on first day of reporting at selection centres. The candidates who qualify in stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests. Those who fail to pass stage one will be returned on the sane date.
PAY ALLOWANCES AND OTHER BENEFITS:
During the period of training the candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- p.m. (Rs. 15,600/- as pay in pay band plus grade pay Rs. 5,400/-) on completion of training officers are commissioned as it and entitled to the pay band of Rs.15,600-39,000 with DA at present with other benefits like military service pay transport allowance, free medical facilities, LTC, 60 days annual leave, 20 days casual leave, canteen facilities, ration as per scale and certain other allowance based on posting etc. Army group insurance provides insurance cover of Rs.30 lakhs to the gentlemen cadets of OTA from the date of joining the institute for pre-commission training.

Applications are invited from unmarried candidates who fulfill eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Technical/Executive Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES), for course commencing July 2011.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS.
The candidates must be physically fit according to following physical standards:-
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight. (i) Technical Branch. 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses. (ii) General Service (Executive). 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses (iii) Logistic Cadre (Executive). 6/60, 6/60
correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses. The candidate should not be colour/night blind.
